Who we are

My Superpowers Book is a product of Ilow Studio, Gesa Senst-von Engelbrechten, 624 6th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215, United States. Questions: [email protected].

Your child’s photos

We use the photos for one purpose only: to draw the hero of this one book so that it looks like your child.
The photos are sent, together with a short written description of hair and face, to OpenAI (United States) to generate the drawings. OpenAI processes them under its API terms, does not use them to train its models, and deletes them after processing (up to 30 days for abuse monitoring).
We never share the photos with anyone else, never publish them, never use them for advertising or for other books.
The photos and the face crops are deleted from our computer as soon as your printed book is approved for production, and in any case no later than 7 days after your book is finished. Only the drawings remain. The finished PDF is kept for 90 days so you can download it again, then deleted.
You can ask us to delete everything earlier at any time by e-mail; we do so within 48 hours.

Children

This service is for parents and guardians. By uploading a photo you confirm that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian, or have their permission. We do not collect any information from children directly.

Name and stories

The first name and the “proud moments” you type are used only to write the text of this book. They are stored with the order and deleted with it.

Printed books

If you order a printed copy, your name, shipping address and phone number are passed to our printing partner Peecho B.V. (Amsterdam, Netherlands), which prints and ships in the United States solely to print and ship the book. The book files are made available to the printer through a private, non-guessable link for the duration of production.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe sends you a receipt by e-mail.

Cookies and tracking

None. No analytics, no advertising cookies. The site remembers nothing between visits.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold about your order, or its deletion, at the e-mail above. Residents of the EU/EEA have the rights set out in the GDPR; the legal basis for processing is the contract with you (Art. 6 (1) b) and your consent for the photos (Art. 6 (1) a), which you may withdraw at any time.
